Westinghouse J46: The Westinghouse J46 was an afterburning turbojet engine that was developed to power several United States Navy aircraft in the 1950s. With three bearings instead of two, as had the J40, it passed the 150 hour qualification test in 1953. Westinghouse J34: The Westinghouse J34, company designation Westinghouse 24C, was a turbojet engine developed by Westinghouse Aviation Gas Turbine Division in the late 1940s. In succession, the Westinghouse J46, with a thrust of 22,240 N (5,000 lb) without afterburner, was planned as a replacement for the Westinghouse J34.
